Postgraduate Programe

The Professorial Unit (ward 11 and 12) of Teaching Hospital Karapitiya (THK) is the clinical training centre of the Department of Medicine. The Post Graduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM) has accredited the Professorial Unit of THK as a training centre for post graduates in General Medicine. Each year, roughly 6-10 postgraduate students following MD Medicine, MD emergency medicine, MD family medicine, MD clinical haematology, MD Nutrition , MD sport medicine and MD dermatology are trained in this unit.
