Undergraduate Program


The Department of Medicine contributes to the clinical component of the medical curriculum from third year to fifth year and is responsible for organizing, supervising and conducting the teaching programme in clinical medicine.

The teaching program includes regular lectures, tutorials, on site clinical teaching (ward round teaching, case based discussion), and patient oriented teaching and self-learning. The teaching programme of Department of Medicine starts in the third year of the medical curriculum with an introduction to clinical medicine followed by two eight week appointments in General Medicine and specialty clinical training of 2 weeks each in cardiology, neurology, rheumatology, emergency medicine, dermatology, respiratory medicine, and sexually transmitted diseases.
