Undergraduate Teaching

The pathology course starts in the third year and is finished by the fourth year of undergraduate study. Courses in General and Systemic Pathology, Tumour Pathology, Haematology, and Chemical Pathology are offered to undergraduates. Student-centered learning, flipped classrooms, clinical pathology case based discussions, two weeks of clinical pathology appointment in the teaching hospital with a learning portfolio, and small group discussions are some of the instructional strategies used in teaching and learning. Continuous and formative assessments are conducted at the end of general and tumour pathology course and at the end of clinical pathology appointment.
Pathology Museum serves in the arena for their active learning of pathological processes through macroscopy and microscopy. The self-learning is supported by printed educational materials and well-preserved, over 300 mounted specimens of organs and tissues of many different pathological conditions organized in a system based manner.
