At the end of the session, student should be able to,
• identify the predisposing factors for ADR
• explain the procedure of reporting ADR
• discuss the ways of minimizing ADR
Community Pharmacy
At the end of the session, student should be able to
• describe properties of OTC drugs and prescription only medicine
• advantages of the prescription bank in developing countries
• describe the limitations of e-prescribing in developing countries
Consent in medical research
At the end of the appointment student should be able to,
• understand the importance of using consent form in clinical research
• develop the consent form for a clinical research
• obtained informed consent from a voluntary participant for a research
Critically appraising a research article
At the end of the session student should be able to,
• identify the strengths and weaknesses of a research article
• identify features of different methodology designs
• report on completeness of methods, procedures, conclusions, compliance with ethical standards of clinical trials
• analyze the usefulness and validity of research findings
Health care delivery system in Sri Lanka
At the end of the module student should be able to
• elaborate overview of health care system of Sri Lanka
• understand current health care indices in Sri Lanka

• describe the basic patient management systems in teaching hospitals
• explain the uniqueness of Sri Lankan health care system and how they achieve, reduce door to needle time, low cost health care delivery system to the general public
