Dr Chandana Wickramaratne, Senior Lecturer and Head, Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna, had been awarded “Excellence Achievement Award” on “Health Care Quality, Accreditation, Medical and Allied Health Sciences Education” by Human Rights Organization Sri Lanka in recognition of distinguished service performed with dignity and dedication to the humanitarian principles of human rights organization on 27th February 2021, in a ceremony held at Taj Samudra Colombo. The chief guest was Hon Minister Susil Premajayantha. Human Rights Organization is a registered NGO having served over 12 years in Sri Lanka and it is the first awards ceremony they held. There were 12 recipients of excellence achievement awards covering diverse areas including business, arts & music, innovations, social services, education & law etc.
