The 12th Annual Big Match between the student cricket teams of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna was held on 8th May 2022 at the Asgiriya Cricket Stadium.
The Peradeniya Student’s team won the toss and elected to bat first. Peradeniya Student’s Team was restricted to a total of 141 runs in 20 overs. The Karapitiya Student’s Team was able to chase the target down in 19.3 overs scoring a total of 145 for the loss of 5 wickets, thus winning the match.
The Best Batsman award went to Daham Pieris of the Peradeniya Student’s team. Nimsara de Silva of the Karapitiya Student’s team was awarded the best bowler award. The Man of the Match award was awarded to Binara Vihanga of the Karapitiya Student’s team.
