Dear Students,

Please find the proposed plan for re-commencement of academic activities.

1. 39 th batch will start the professorial appointments on 18th of April as scheduled. The students of the 39th batch are allowed to return to to the hostels from the Sunday the 17th of April.
2. 40th batch will start clinical training and academic work from 25th of April 2022. Those students who are expected to go to DGH Matara for their training are given hostel facilities at Matara (Pamunuwa) from 24th of April and there will be no transport arrangements provided.
3. 41st batch will start on 25th of April.
4. 42nd batch will start the Introductory Program with their first medical and surgical appointments from 25th of April.
5. 43rd and 44th batches will start their academic activities on 25th of April.

In summary, the 39th batch will start on 18th of April and all the other batches will start on 25th of April.

I need 100% commitment from the students to carry out this plan by not taking part in street protests and in any other subversive activity.  As I have the responsibility to safeguard all the students, any breach of of this rule will be seriously considered to take appropriate action.
